Project Funway, an annual fashion design competition and runway show, showcases the creativity and talent of UNL students and local designers while supporting the noble cause of Fresh Start Home, a non-profit housing program for women experiencing homelessness.

"The essence of Project Funway lies in its ability to merge innovation in design with a meaningful impact on the community," says a representative from Charity Ace, who will be assisting with the fundraising efforts. "We are thrilled to see the event grow year after year, empowering designers to create stunning pieces from cast-off materials."

The 2024 event, held with great success, featured 49 unique designs that captivated over 260 attendees. This year, the 2025 Project Funway will take place on November 7 at The Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Ticket information will be available in late summer, offering a chance for fashion enthusiasts and philanthropists to participate in this extraordinary event.

To further support Fresh Start Home, a special raffle package is being offered, which includes a luxurious hotel stay, a gift card, and VIP tickets to the show. Raffle tickets are priced at $10 each, providing an opportunity for attendees to contribute to the cause and enhance their experience at Project Funway.

Sponsorships for the event are available, including opportunities such as Exclusive Runway, Red Carpet, Auction, Wine Pull, Trendsetter, and Vogue Small Business sponsors. Project Funway values its collaboration with the UNL Dept. of Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design, as well as the generous support of all sponsors involved.
